Stop Shooting Auto! – Learn your SLR from the ground up
Learn the basics of shooting in manual mode in your SLR camera. If you don’t shoot in manual 100% of the time, this is the class for you. Stop putting your camera on auto pilot and start taking good pictures on purpose. An absolute requirement for all of the other SLR classes. The lighting, composition, posing and Photoshop classes all build on the basics we learn in this class.

I’ve Seen The Light! – Using available light to your advantage
Learn to correctly and creatively light your subjects without buying anything new. Perfect as your 2nd class after Stop Shooting Auto.

I’ve Seen The Light! II – Using your hot shoe flash
Learn to use your hot shoe flash to beautifully light your subjects in any scenario, including dark or dimly lit rooms.
1 hour lecture, 1 hour shooting practice. $100
Why Do My Pictures Stink? – Developing an eye for creative compositions
Learn to recognize basic composition ideas and apply them to your photography. Automatic interestingness!

The Camera Adds 10 Pounds!?! – Flattering and creative posing
Learn to pose your subjects in a flattering and interesting manner for beautiful and creative portraits. We will also cover how to pose groups as well as using props and proper posing to minimize flaws.

Photoshop 101 – Basic editing and color conversion
Learn the basics of editing photography in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. Participants must bring their fully charged laptop to class with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, and a variety of images for editing. Free 30 day trials are available here.
2 Hour hands on instruction $200
Photoshop 102 – Can you liquify that?
Learn the basics of retouching portraits including skin smoothing, removing blemishes and under eye circles, whitening teeth and eyes, removing stray hairs ect. If you do not know how to work with layer masks please take Photoshop 101 first. Participants must bring their fully charged laptop to class with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, and a variety of portrait images for editing. Free 30 day trials are available here.

Photoshop 103 – Working with texture
Learn the basics of working with textures and advanced layer masks. If you do not know how to work with layer masks please take Photoshop 101 first. Participants must bring their fully charged laptop to class with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, and a variety of images for editing. Free 30 day trials are available here.
