Ashley and Rene’s gorgeous wedding and reception took place at the Grace Museum in downtown Abilene. We had a fabulous time documenting their beautiful day and I am in love with the images we captured! Below is a selection of our favorites that we just couldn’t keep to ourselves. We hope you enjoy this preview and we would love it if you would give our adorable bride and groom some love in the comments!

I am so excited to share the photos from the engagement session we did a couple of weeks ago. When I asked Ashley and Chris what direction they wanted to take with their photos they told me they wanted to go for a day out in the big city with a worn-in vintage feel. I of course loved this idea and was completely on board. We had so much fun taking our time and hitting a few sweet spots. Ashley and Chris are such a wonderful couple! Their photos and relationship dynamic show that romantic can still be really fun and playful…at least that’s what I think. So here’s a look at the little jewels from the day!

Krista and Hunter are one of my favorite couples this year. I had an awesome time with them photographing their engagement out at the oldest pecan orchard in Texas. We love going out to our client’s property for shoots, not only does it lend variety to our shots but it gives the images a personal significance. Plus the Specks have a lovely spread with great farm equipment, fun rustic barns- and I love to photography hay bales and they had plenty of them! I’m really happy with the rustic feel and the western look we were able to achieve giving the photo shoot a true Texas touch. I can’t wait to shoot their Vintage -Texas Chic wedding at Brennan Vineyards next month!

I’m so excited to be posting images from Shelly and Edward’s super stylish summer wedding at the Brownwood Country Club! The bright colors in the Gerber daisies from Bang’s Flowers and all the peacock feather details really fit the relaxed summery feel the wedding. Shelly and Edward went to a lot of trouble to make the wedding truly them – from the communion and involving Edward’s sweet daughters in the ceremony to the Aggie chant on the dance floor at the reception.

Shelly’s something blue was a single blue toenail!

There is something so captivating to me about small towns. The quaintness. The simplicity. The love stories… That is what good country songs are made of right? Courtney and James are from Baird – the antique capital of west Texas, and wanted their engagement session there. It was truly a pleasure having no agenda when I met them for their session. I said “Ummm…. follow me… I don’t really know where we are going.. we are just going to explore!”

Maddie and John tied the knot in a ceremony at Maddie’s dad’s church, the Church of Christ in Early. They met while attending ACU in Abilene. They had the longest first look I’ve ever seen, I didn’t time it, but they spent plenty of time together just talking. After all that is one of the benefits of a first look, being able to have time all to yourself on your wedding day.
Maddie and John were awesome to shoot. They are such a low key fun couple and their wedding fit their style perfectly – right down to the cupcake tower! So here’s a look at Maddie and John’s perfectly laid back summer wedding. Enjoy!

For my first wedding back from maternity leave Kyle and I drove down to Houston and shot Olivia and Joey’s wedding at All Saints Catholic Church in The Heights. Built way back in 1903 All Saints is hands down the most beautiful church we had the pleasure of photographing. When you add to that a bride and groom who are truly taken with each other and an energetic loving family you have all the makings of a great event. It was an afternoon of singing, dancing, keg stands, and few tears from an outrageously cute ring bearer. Here are a few of the highlights.

Donna and George met with me at ACU on a sunny Friday in June for an engagement session. They are both from Abilene and will be getting married in July. Even a drought colleges always have perfect lawns for outdoor photographs, plus the light that day was awesome! Here are just a few of my favorites from their session.

We’re thrilled to present the first of many 2011 wedding albums! Jennifer & Cody had their gorgeous day at First Christian Church and reception at 181 Pine in Abilene on January 8th. To reflect the elegant fusion of traditional and modern at their wedding, Jennifer and Cody chose a classic black leather cover with a modern silver imprint of their first names. Check out their awesome album below!

We would like to introduce you to…. Mr. and Mrs. Carrington! We are so excited to be able to share this gorgeous wedding with you. I can honestly say this was equally the most beautiful and most wedding we have ever done and at the end of night it was so awesome to look around and see everyone having a blast and dancing the night away. There were so many photos I wanted to post but I had to seriously hold myself in check and limit myself down to these few. I hope you enjoy this beautiful country, chic wedding.
