First birthdays are really special milestones. One minute you are holding a tiny fragile newborn in your arms and then they just sit up, scoot off your lap, and start running around every where! I have tried to slow down time for Makenna just a little this past year by photographing her when she was 3 months and again at 6 months. Little Makenna turned one just a few days before her first birthday session and I was happy to see their family again! Thank you to Vanessa, Doug, and their little girl for letting us be a part of your daughter’s first year. Happy first birthday!
I shot a fabulous family session recently with two awesome sisters Aimee and Ashleigh! They wanted to surprise their family with a personal and thoughtful Christmas gift they would really treasure and decided to book their first joint portrait session since middle school. Aimee and Ashleigh want some fun colorful images that really showed their personalities and their close relationship. Because most moms spend all their time behind the camera instead of in front of it they usually under represented in family photographs. Knowing this my local MOPS group asked if I would be willing to take some Mommy Glam Shots and I jumped at the chance. It was nice to be able to give these wonderful ladies a nice image of themselves looking their best. No kids, no husbands, just a wonderful reflection of the beautiful woman God made them to be.
A few weeks ago I headed downtown to Victory Gymnastics to photography their staff. They were looking for headshots to place on the new website they are working on. I used one of the great exposed brick walls in the gym as background to add some interesting caracter and texture to the images, here are the results.
This is sweet little Zoe – and everyone who has met her says she is hands down the best baby they have ever been around! She was that way as a newborn too (See the session here) Zoe brought her sock monkey hat again, which I was super excited about. She’s just the cutest sock monkey baby ever! I had the pleasure of photographing the Gallion family last week while they were vesting from San Antonio. Nicole and Howard have 6 kids including 16 month old quadruplets! I hadn’t seen the little ones since I shot their newborn portraits last year. The kids were little troopers as we made our way around downtown Brownwood finding some great backgrounds. Through the magic of Photoshop we were even able to have green grass in the middle of a drought! It was great to see the whole family and have the opportunity to give them some awesome photos before Howard goes back to Afghanistan. Enjoy!
Luke came to us when he was just 2 weeks old and he already had plenty of personality and smiles to spread around. He brought his two older sisters with him who I’m sure will spoil him rotten! I just couldn’t help but fall in love with this cute little cowboy, and now its your turn… enjoy

A few weeks ago Miss H and I set about creating a grooms gift that will remind her soon to be Mr. what a lucky guy he is, and oh boy, what a lucky guy he is, Hello Gorgeous! It’s not only one of the most special, personalized gifts a gal can give, but also an incredible way to add to the excitement of the wedding day.
It is a fun, enjoyable experience and definitely should be a reward every bride gives herself for all the hard work with wedding planning. The images you get from the session are a huge self-confidence booster and a gift to yourself as well as your groom. Most women surprise their groom with the photos and I think it’s a fun way to build excitement and anticipation for your walk down the aisle.
