I’m so happy to share Marta and Clark’s “Elopement Under The Stars”, it was such a lovely and unique ceremony. They got married after sunset at the Star of Texas Bed and Breakfast, with the ceremony lit only by the twinkle lights and tea candles hanging from the trees. Don performed the ceremony complete with traditional Celtic vows, a shared wine cup, and a hand fasting.
Marta and Clark picked up their beautiful champagne glasses and their cake topper on a trip to Ireland and chose to commemorate their trip by incorporating Celtic traditions in their ceremony. It was truly a unqiue and personal event. Enjoy!

It was so nice to get the chance to photograph Brandan who graduates from Early High School in May. I shot his brother David’s senior portraits 2 years ago before he left for the Army and it was a pleasure to see his family again. Brandan works and spends a lot of time out at the lake so after quick tour of Downtown we headed out Lake Brownwood to finish up his session with some awesome sunsets near the water.
I think it’s safe to say that Brandan has a bright future ahead of him, he is a talented basketball player and has such a genuine personality, and as you will see the camera loves him! Good luck in the future Brandan!

And the Slidshow:
I’m excited to announce that for the 4th year in a row I have had one of my artworks accepted into the Star of Texas Juried Art Exhibit. Competition is fierce and comes from all over the state, so I feel honored to be included with the other very talented artist in the show this year.
The piece selected is called “Frozen” and is a photograph of dead sunflowers collected on a trip to the dumpster behind my house if you can believe. Inspiration really is everywhere. Through careful composition and lighting the fragile and beautiful form of the plant is highlighted, and the black and white conversion lends it a haunting air of mystery I think. If you’d like to see it in person (and place you vote for People’s Choice- hint, hint) the show will be up at the Depot through Saturday February 19.
